Overview

We are looking for a superintendent in industrial mechanical to join a dynamic and passionate team within a general contractor based in Quebec. This multidisciplinary company, specializing in construction and engineering, has extensive experience with large-scale projects. It offers comprehensive services, ranging from project management to execution of works.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and supervise construction work with foremen and subcontractors
  • Read and understand plans and specifications to define work methods
  • Create and manage the project schedule with the General Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on the site
  • Prepare for and participate in project meetings
  • Plan, prepare, and purchase necessary tools and materials
  • Monitor productivity, document issues, and prepare daily reports
  • Ensure the quality of materials and work, prepare and monitor the budget, and analyze the costs of changes
Skills and qualifications
  • Degree in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of financial management
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Office Suite
  • Knowledge of welding (a plus), heavy machinery, cement plants, and foundries (major assets)
