Job summary

A leading First Nation organization in Swift Current is seeking a student to assist in various departmental initiatives. Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary program and return full-time in fall 2025. Experience in communications, finance, or other relevant fields is preferred. This role offers unique opportunities for learning and advancement within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution, returning full-time in fall 2025.
  • Preference for candidates in a field related to SIGA's business unit needs.
  • Experience in Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement is an asset.
  • Experience managing small initiatives, conducting research and analysis is also an asset.

  • Assist the assigned Department.
  • Support in departmental initiatives and project implementation.
  • Act as backup for Department Consultants / Specialists.

Overview

This position will assist the Department that they are assigned to.

Assisting as necessary in preparation and implementation of departmental initiatives; working on assignments and projects that will improve the processes and procedures within the Department; acting as backup for Department Consultants / Specialist; other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager of Department.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in a certificate, diploma or degree program, and returning full-time as a student in the fall of 2025. Preference will be given to candidates in a field of study related to the SIGA property and hiring manager\'s business unit\'s needs. Experience in the fields of Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Procurement is an asset. Experience in managing small initiatives is an asset. Experience in research and analysis is an asset. Experience working with various computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
