What you’ll do
  • Assisting operators in the activity of monitoring and verifying various plant parameters using online and offline instruments in different sections of the plant (i.e. viz. pH, temperature, flow quantity, weight, strength, concentration, valve operation etc.)
  • Assisting in sample collection from designated ports on the vessel or pipes
  • Analyzing samples on gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, moisture analyzer, coulometer, densitometer and other lab instruments
  • Support initiatives on identification and development of alternate feeds stocks and product streams
  • Perform lab and plant trials
Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada full‑time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
  • Available to begin work in May 2026
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinker and ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast‑paced, high‑performing, team environment
  • Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize
  • Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes or solutions
  • Demonstrates collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Education
  • Must be enrolled in a Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Chemical technology Undergraduate Program at an accredited post‑secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full‑time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post‑secondary co‑op or internship program for the duration of the work term
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post‑secondary institution may also be considered
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
Working Conditions
  • May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.
Safety Sensitive
  • This may be a safety‑sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre‑employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.
  • Safety sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle, applicants are asked to provide a recent (i.e., issued within the previous 4 weeks) original driver’s abstract, for the preceding 5‑year period, if offered the position. A valid Canadian class 5 Driver’s License with no restrictions (i.e., non GDL) is a requirement for this role.
