Reports to: Medical Director

Hours: 20 hours per week

Shifts: Days

Status: Temporary Part-Time

Closing Date: July 8 2025

The Statistical Data Analyst will work with the Principal Investigator(s) and key stakeholders to develop, maintain and ensure data quality of databases across a range of strategy activities. The Statistical Data Analyst will also participate in the analysis and interpretation of data and prepare statistical and narrative reports as appropriate. They will be supervised by and will formally report to the Principal Investigator(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Principal Investigator(s) objectives by leading initiatives to improve data management practices and procedures
  • Create and maintain relational databases (e.g. REDCap with MySQL PostgreSQL MSSQL) and prepare tailored data cuts for analysis in R Python or other appropriate software
  • Develop and review statistical analysis plans together with the Principal Investigator(s)
  • Undertake quality control and data manipulation of data prior to analysis
  • Perform statistical analysis to support the creation of reports using R Python SAS or other appropriate software
  • Design and prepare draft reports which include creating tables and charts in R Quarto MS Excel MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Design and prepare dashboards / tailored reports using dashboard and data visualization tools
  • Maintain extensive records through up-to-date databases on projects which require analysis for resource planning quality management and audit information
Qualifications
  • Degree in Statistics Biostatistics Data Science Computer Science or a related quantitative field
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (e.g. R SAS Python)
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing and maintaining relational databases to support large-scale research or data analysis projects
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, managing and integrating data with statistical workflows (e.g. BigQuery PostgreSQL). Experience integrating statistical analyses with database systems is highly desirable
  • Experience with dashboard creation and data visualization using tools like Shiny or Microsoft Power BI is a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in longitudinal data analysis and causal inference methods (e.g. g-computation targeted maximum likelihood estimation) is a strong asset
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams
