Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Community Reintegration Service (CRS) Psychologist is assigned to Enhanced Multidisciplinary Team in support of Homeless Veterans. The Psychologist is assigned to Vancouver, Washington duty station and provides services to CRS clients who reside throughout entire VA Portland catchment area. In-person services will be done in a clinic setting on the Vancouver campus and in the community, requiring ability to operate a government vehicle as they work with Veterans, meet with community partners, and travel between sites of care, utilizing phone and video modalities as clinically indicated. It is expected that the Psychologist will have strong communication and team‑building skills. The Mental Health Division (MHD) utilizes an interdisciplinary team model of patient care to deliver biopsychosocial treatment for Veterans, with MHD psychologists functioning as core members of these treatment teams.
Provides comprehensive psychological assessment and diagnostic services for Veterans with a broad range of psychopathology receiving care within the VA Portland HCS, including services for Veterans with complex psychopathology requiring advanced psycho‑diagnostic skills.
Demonstrates expertise in using contemporary interview and psychometric assessment methods for mental disorders and/or behavioral health conditions.
Provides education to patients and family members regarding mental disorders and best practice approaches to treatment.
Provides evidenced‑based psychotherapeutic interventions as indicated and appropriate for the specific job setting and duties of the psychologist, which may include individual, family, and group psychotherapy and psychoeducation.
