As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon‑led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Senior Steel Structural Engineer will play a pivotal role in the delivery of complex steelwork design packages for the Nuclear Island at DNNP. This role will leverage deep technical expertise and site experience to ensure designs are constructible, safe, and compliant with nuclear standards. The Senior Steel Structural Engineer will collaborate closely with design, construction, and client teams, supporting the reduction of rework, timely query resolution, and the safe, efficient realization of the project’s goals.
