Job summary

Roles & Responsibilities

• Formulate new products (concept, formulate, sourcing ingredients, prototyping, plant trials and full-scale commercialization).
• Coordinate samples and conduct testing to validate product design and functionality.
• Stay up to date with Canadian and US nutrition and labelling laws.
• Monitor the performance post-launch and existing product performance.
• Maintain accurate records of the development process.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Post-secondary education in Food Science or a related field.
• 3 – 5 years related Product Development experience in a food manufacturing.
• Experience in an R&D / Product development role in the baked goods industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
