One Permanent Full-Time Position as a Sr. Gas Trader involves managing the gas portfolio strategy, achieving trading targets, and working closely with the power trading teams. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, experience in natural gas trading, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
You will contribute by:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, computer science, finance, or mathematics. Graduate degrees or financial designations like CFA or FRM are preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in profitable natural gas trading or gas scheduling, focusing on Henry Hub and AECO markets. Experience with physical gas, asset optimization, structured products, and options.
Technical Skills: Portfolio management experience, advanced finance and risk management knowledge, proficiency in MS Office, Python, R, and familiarity with algorithmic methods/machine learning is an asset.
Working Conditions: 4-day in-office workweek, with potential for 5 days, odd hours, and weekend work depending on portfolio needs.
