Job description
Sr. Cloud Technical Lead

Our Technology team wakes up every day with one goal in mind - connecting Canadians to the people and things that matter most. Together, we are proud to support 30 million Canadians each month through managing a robust portfolio that champions leading-edge technology. We drive large-scale, complex, and high-visibility technology projects and programs that shape the future of technology in Canada and expand connectivity from coast to coast. If you are interested in being a part of this, consider applying for the following opportunity:

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking a seasoned Sr. Cloud Technical Lead with deep expertise in designing, building, and optimizing modern cloud environments. You are both a visionary architect and a pragmatic engineer — someone who can define the roadmap, guide technical decision‑making, and roll up their sleeves when needed. You thrive in complex environments, excel at simplifying the path forward, and are comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams including engineering, cybersecurity, product, and operations. If you’re passionate about delivering scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions — and leading teams toward best‑in‑class cloud engineering practices — you’ll be a strong fit.

What you’ll do

  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of large‑scale cloud solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery.
  • Establish and maintain cloud governance, standards, and best practices.
  • Drive secure‑by‑design principles across all cloud workloads and architectures.
  • Oversee cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and legacy system transformations.
  • Optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, automation, and cost.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud issues and guide incident response efforts.
  • Champion DevOps, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, automation, and continuous delivery practices.

What you bring

  • 8+ years of cloud engineering/architecture experience and 3+ years in a technical lead role.
  • Basic knowledge of TM Forum concepts to standardize operations and promote interoperability among various systems and services.
  • Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services and modern cloud‑native architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM, cloud networking, Kubernetes, containers, and serverless.
  • Hands‑on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar IaC tools.
  • Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud infrastructure workflows.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Experience optimizing cloud cost, performance, and operational resilience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

What’s in it for you?

We believe in investing in our people and helping them reach their potential as valuable members of our team. As part of our team, you’ll have access to a wide range of resources, growth opportunities, discounts, and perks, including:

  • Competitive salary & annual bonus
  • Competitive & flexible health and dental benefits, pension plan, RRSP, TFSA, and Stock matching programs.
  • Discounts: Enjoy up to 50% off Rogers Services and Blue Jays Tickets, 25% off TSC items, and a 20% discount on all wireless accessories sold in Rogers stores.
  • Paid time off for volunteering
  • Company matching contributions to charities you support
  • Rogers First: priority in applying to internal roles of interest
  • Wellness Programs: Homewood employee & family assistance program; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) & Virtual therapy sessions; Low or no-cost fitness membership with access to virtual classes
  • Our commitment to the environment and diversity: Work for an organization committed to environmental protection; Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion with employee resource groups supporting equity‑deserving groups including People of Colour, 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous Peoples, Persons with Disabilities and Women
