PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a Specialist, Income Tax, you’ll be a key player in our tax team—supporting income tax accounting, reporting, and compliance. You’ll collaborate across finance, tackle complex challenges, and help deliver high-impact results. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Canadian tax provision calculations under US GAAP
  • Prepare income tax disclosures for quarterly and annual external reporting under US GAAP
  • Prepare internal tax reporting, return-to-provision adjustments, and account reconciliations
  • Assist with Canadian and international tax compliance filings, audits, and documentation
  • Provide support to the U.S. tax team on compliance and reporting
  • Analyze financial transactions for tax implications and draft related disclosures
  • Maintain organized tax files and ensure SOX compliance
  • Respond to auditor and internal reviewer queries
  • Utilize TaxPrep and SAP systems effectively

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or other relevant fields;
  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA);
  • Minimum 3 years income tax experience
