Exciting Opportunity: Software Developer (Technical Onboarding)

We’re seeking a talented Software Developer to join our Technical Onboarding team. In this role, you’ll design, implement and support technical solutions that will migrate data from our customers core banking system into the Verafin application. Each financial institution could be using one of the 100+ available core banking systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Solution Design: Define a strategy for data flows to meet the requirements of the Verafin application.
  • Technical Implementation: Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using Postgres, Java, Scala and Unix Utilities
  • Timeline and Milestone Management: Work effectively within your team to manage project milestones and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes. Identify risks and work internally/externally to proactively mitigate those.
  • Stakeholder Support and Expectation Management: Provide clear updates, support, and manage expectations for both internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
  • A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year professional software development experience is required for this role
  • Strong analytical skills for complex and creative problem solving
  • Experience in object-oriented software development (Java)
  • Experience with Database technologies (PostgresSQL)
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability explain technical solutions and issues to non-technical customers
  • Automated testing
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work closely with team members
  • You have a ‘Customer first’ attitude – always putting the customer’s needs first

  • Meeting defined Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Understanding the goals of the team while using problem solving skills
  • Developing cloud-based services that have good uptime, health, and security
  • Producing clean and efficient code
