Job Role Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and maintain software application build and release pipelines and processes to deliver software across a variety of platforms, including PlayStation consoles, Web, Mobile, and PC
Automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools to ensure scalable, repeatable, and secure deployments across various environments
Build applications and tools that streamline application development and deployment processes
Facilitate the needs of dependent teams (engineering, QA, and operations) and work with external teams to achieve results
Monitor and measure software telemetry data (metrics, logs, traces) to identify gaps and prioritize improvements within our pipelines and tools
Build dashboards to visualize metrics and communicate the health and performance of our systems
Proactively diagnose and resolve CI/CD issues, as well as issues reported by development teams
Write documentation (Tutorials, How-to guides, Reference guides, Explanations) for our pipelines, infrastructure and tools
Collaborate with team members, globally, across all SIE offices, to effectively build and deliver PlayStation software experiences
Work with diverse web technology stacks
A strong understanding of object-oriented principles
Familiarity with common data structures and algorithms
Experience with Git, GitHub
Familiar with common web tooling and frameworks
Familiar with container technologies such as Docker
Familiar with Akamai and Content Delivery Networks
Understanding of "Phased Releases" and how it applies to CDN's
Comfortable navigating the Linux command line
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working with RESTful web APIs Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
Strong understanding of Content Delivery Networks, particularly using Akamai
Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
Familiar with telemetry related technologies (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Cloudwatch, etc.)
Experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, etc.)
Familiar with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery / Deployment (CI/CD)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
