This is a hybrid role based in Barrie, ON. You’ll work from our head office three days a week, collaborating closely with the marketing team, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Planning

  • Help develop and execute monthly content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions that reflect the brand’s voice and spotlight our food, promotions, and people.
  • Coordinate and execute regular content shoots, including in-store, lifestyle, and user-generated content, to support the social calendars.
  • Edit and publish organic short‑form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) that aligns with planned content and current trends.

Community Management

  • Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, tags, and mentions in a timely, brand‑appropriate way (within 24 hours).
  • Track community sentiment and customer feedback, flagging trends or issues to the Marketing and Operations teams as needed.

Influencer Management

  • Support the broader Marketing team with our influencer strategy, including research, outreach, coordination, content tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Help build and maintain strong relationships with creators who align with our brand.

Trendspotting & Reporting

  • Stay tapped into platform updates and emerging social trends, proactively pitching ideas to keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Assist with social analytics and reporting, including tracking performance, pulling monthly insights, and recommending optimizations.
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to stand out and improve results.
Experience
  • Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in social media, content creation, or a similar role.
  • Strong writing skills with a sharp eye for visual storytelling.
  • Hands‑on experience with photography and video editing for social platforms.
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience in food, restaurant, or lifestyle brands is a strong asset.
  • A self‑starter who takes initiative, brings ideas forward, and executes with confidence.
