PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Signals & Communications (S&C) Helpers are part of a high-performing team responsible for laborious tasks related to the construction and maintenance of railway signal systems. During the training phase, candidates are classified as S&C Helpers, and upon completing their training, they become eligible to apply for a Signal Maintainer Apprentice position. The work is often seasonal, and employees may face layoffs at the end of the work season. However, they are recalled based on operational needs and seniority for the following season.

Medical and Drug Testing
This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
