Generally speaking, we expect to make decisions concerning courses in July for Winter or Fall courses; August for Spring courses; and in March for Summer courses. However, some decisions may be made earlier or later than these time frames, depending on circumstances. Unexpected vacancies may arise at any time.

Please note : Undergraduate or graduate students and post-doctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12.

Description:

ANA300Y introduces the student to human histology, neuroanatomy, and gross anatomy. It is a full-year course divided into two terms and four quarters. The winter term covers organs systems (gross anatomy and histology) and musculoskeletal anatomy.

Salary:

Sessional Lecturers I - $9,997.48

Sessional Lecturers I (Long Term) - $10,699.22

Sessional Lecturers II - $10,699.22

Sessional Lecturers III - $10,953.96

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Qualification:

  • PhD in anatomy or a related field
  • Knowledge of anatomy and histology
  • Teaching experience at the university level required
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and mastery of the subject area is preferred.
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence in online format is an asset.
  • Previous experience in teaching a similar course is highly preferred.

Duties:

Preparation and in person delivery of course material (lectures, labs and tutorials); preparation and delivery of tests, final examinations; supervision of teaching assistants; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
