Job summary

A Canadian company is seeking a Service Technician - Tanks to be responsible for assembling new tanks and equipment, repairing and servicing rental tanks, and maintaining an orderly yard and shop. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma, customer service skills, and valid class 5 driving license. This safety-sensitive position requires passing a drug and alcohol screening test and availability for on-call service. Forklift experience is an asset.

Service Technician - Tanks

Reporting to the Manager, Tank Rental & Sales, the Service Technician - Tanks is responsible for the assembly of new tanks and equipment as well as repairing and servicing the rental tank and equipment fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble new tanks and all associated pumps and equipment onto the tanks.
  • Service and repair all rental tanks and associated rental equipment.
  • Ship and receive tanks and associated equipment.
  • Maintain yard and shop in an orderly manner.
  • Operate forklift in a safe and professional manner.
  • Accountable for completing all required documentation correctly and in a manner.
  • Be available to be on call and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Ensure safe practices are being followed in accordance with Health and Safety policies and practices.
  • Read, understand and comply with UFA/BarW and client Health, Safety and Environment Policies, Safe Work Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
