Overview

Are You Our Next Service Bench Technician? Do you enjoy solving technical challenges, working hands-on with advanced tools, and ensuring equipment performs at its best? We’re looking for a Service Bench Technician to join our professional Service Team and make a meaningful impact. This role is based at our head office in Mississauga, Ontario, delivering exceptional service through tool repair, calibration, software upgrades, system configuration, and customer support. Your ability to troubleshoot, collaborate, and take ownership of technical challenges will be essential to your success.

Responsibilities
  • Repair & Troubleshoot Tools: Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex electro-mechanical devices using industry-leading troubleshooting methodology.
  • Maintain & Calibrate Equipment: Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of customer tools and quality equipment utilizing Atlas Copco’s SPIRIT asset management system.
  • Upgrade & Test Software: Complete software upgrades and validate new communication interfaces.
  • Configure New Systems: Set up new systems for customers and perform pre-delivery testing.
  • Collaborate with Global Teams: Work with engineering and quality teams worldwide to investigate issues and improve product performance.
  • Support Special Projects: Participate in shop-related tasks and project work as required.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Electro-Mechanical or Electronics Engineering Technology or related technical fields is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how tools and equipment function, with the practical skills to disassemble and reassemble complex devices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort working within software and database management systems.
  • A proactive and motivated approach to solving technical challenges, with an entrepreneurial spirit and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative, while also thriving within collaborative team environments to achieve shared goals.
