Senior Tooling Engineer – New Model Programs – Location: Windsor, Ontario

Forge Consulting Group is currently recruiting a Senior Tooling Engineer to join our client’s New Model Team in Windsor, Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineering professional to contribute to new product launches within a fast-paced, high-performing environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and driving tooling excellence throughout new program development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the New Model Team in coordinating and executing successful product launches
  • Manage sourcing and tracking of equipment, tooling, and weld fixtures
  • Utilize Microsoft Project to manage timelines and deliverables
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure all tooling meets required specifications
  • Procure materials for early builds and customer part requirements
  • Conduct tool buy-offs at supplier and internal shop locations prior to shipping
  • Participate in APQP meetings to ensure timely delivery of tools and parts
  • Track, implement, and gain approval for all engineering changes to tooling
  • Collaborate with purchasing on quoting and sourcing of tooling packages
  • Oversee and support Manufacturing Engineers with assignments and deliverables
  • Mentor junior engineers to ensure quality execution of duties
  • Assist the Manager of New Product Development in achieving departmental goals
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience in program management
  • Background in stamping and welding processes

Preferred:

  • Tool and Die certification
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering
