A leading consulting firm in Toronto seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to manage cloud technologies and infrastructure. Your Opportunity
Our Toronto office is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations team and own the following responsibilities :
Accountable for the evolution of cloud technologies (Public, Private, Multi and Hybrid Cloud Services) and responsible for executing the cloud strategy.
Work with Enterprise Architect and Solutions Delivery Team to plan and deploy new cloud services
Provide leadership and support in maintaining cloud infrastructure systems and Office 365 services
Ability to digest new and changing technologies brings to light how they may impact / benefit our organization.
Manage and monitor cloud reporting tools to Identify and resolve technical issues, reducing overall downtime
Ensure security patches and updates to all systems within the cloud infrastructure are in line with best practices
Participate in disaster recovery planning, including Azure Site Recovery, as well as failover data center
Provide technical leadership for Microsoft EntraID, Security Permissions, DNS, server virtualization and backup.
Provide mentorship to peers
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability
Ability to work flexible hours when required

Your experience and education
You have a College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, or completion of at least 5 years of post-secondary education
You have extensive working experience in managing Office 365, MS Teams, Microsoft Azure (IaaS, Saas and PaaS), SharePoint Administration, Azure DevOps, EntraID, multi-domain environments, backup / recovery, disaster recovery, virtualization technologies including storage systems and networking, PowerShell, infrastructure monitoring & alerting technologies
You have experience with cost optimizations & governance such as reserved compute and Azure Policy
Familiarity with Amazon and Google cloud services
Industry certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dev Ops and Office 365 certifications is preferred.
