A leading engineering staffing provider is seeking a Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler) in Toronto, ON. The successful candidate will lead project controls processes, develop and implement scheduling reports, and maintain an earned value management system. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with 8-10 years of project controls experience, and be skilled in Microsoft Office and Oracle Primavera P6. This role offers a hybrid work environment with some remote work.

Contract Length: Oct 27, 2025 – Oct 24, 2026
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hrs / week (3 days in office, 2 wfh; site visits as required)
Description:The Senior Project Controls Specialist leads project controls processes and consults with the project management team to ensure client satisfaction specific to Scheduling.
Job Duties
Perform project set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
Input data, maintain logs, and run reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Develop, implement, and maintain effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts on small projects.
Responsible for following project execution plans.
Approve Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for proper coding.
Input and document changes to cost reports or forecasts.
Assist with upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders.
Assist with the development of a cash flow.
Assist in the development of various levels of schedules.
Apply logic ties within the schedule.
Perform resource loading of a schedule.
Coordinate project schedules and assist with the development of scheduling reports.
Retrieve, review and distribute pre-programmed scheduling reports along with back-up documentation.
Updates and documents schedule progress.
Develop and maintain an earned value management system.
Understanding and verification of progress measurement.
Develop and maintain progress curves.
Assist with material takeoffs.
Assist quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
Assist with field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes.
All other duties as assigned
