Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with experience in Wastewater infrastructure (pumping stations, treatment plants, reservoirs) to join TYLin’s Water Sector in the Greater Toronto Area. In this role, you'll partner with a team of bright and creative professionals, and help to shape the development of water infrastructure throughout the GTA and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate directly in the design of both public and private sector municipal servicing projects (i.e. sewage pumping stations and water booster stations, reservoirs, elevated tanks and water/wastewater treatment systems) including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.

  • Coordinate the design with review/input from the various municipal/utility/approval agencies/stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals.

  • Liaise with clients, municipalities, and other agencies to secure approvals.

  • Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.

  • Prepare contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications).

  • Conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.

  • Provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.

  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.

  • Participate in the permitting process of projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel and governing entities.

  • Prepare engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

  • Manage and lead team members while working on projects, complete tasks and delegate specific project tasks to other team members as appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

  • P.Eng licensure with P.E.O.

  • 10-15+ years of experience in the execution of wastewater infrastructure (sewer pumping stations, booster pumping stations, reservoirs and elevated tanks and water and wastewater treatment plants) projects required.

  • Proven knowledge and experience with the approval process, including design guidelines and standards (Local and Provincial).

  • Experience with Master Planning, Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario considered or equivalent in other Provinces is considered a significant asset.

  • Contract administration experience is considered a significant asset.
