Senior Manager, Talent Development Programs - Canadian Commercial Banking
Purpose
Commercial Banking is seeking a dynamic Senior Program Manager to lead innovative programs, drive strategic growth, and foster high-performing teams within Canadian Commercial Banking. This role leads and oversees Talent Development Programing in Canadian Commercial Banking ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
The Senior Program Manager plays a crucial role by creating and managing talent programs that deliver sustainable pipelines to meet our needs and by matching business talent needs with individual aspiration and identified development gaps.

Accountabilities
Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

Education / Experience / Other Information
• Post Secondary education: University Degree or Post-Graduate Degree in a field relating to Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Commerce, is preferred
• 4+ years of work experience in talent attraction, talent development, or program management, having exhibited a high degree of performance
• Experience managing a large number of associates/colleagues
• Experience in Campus Recruitment is an asset
• Strong understanding of HR Management Practices
• Ability to effectively sell and market positions within Scotiabank worldwide
• Strong mentorship and leadership abilities
• A mature and enthusiastic attitude
• Experience with coaching others as well as performance management
• Strong relationship management skills
• Well-organized, and can prioritize multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and positive attitude
• Ability to be effective in both a team and independent working environment
• Superior verbal and written communications skills in English
• Critical thinking with an ability to see the "big picture" in a complex matrixed environment

Working Conditions
• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically.
