Job summary

A leading technology and defense company in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Senior Manager in Manufacturing Engineering to oversee the Operations Engineering function. The ideal candidate will lead the optics manufacturing and assembly processes, formulate strategic plans, and develop annual operating budgets while ensuring compliance with safety and quality guidelines. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or military contexts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years managing an Engineering/Operations Engineering team.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Product Development.
  • Experience in aerospace/military product support is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate strategic plans for Operations Engineering.
  • Establish annual operating plans to achieve strategic goals.
  • Define factory processes for building and testing products.
  • Manage, mentor, and train Operations Engineering leadership.
