Job description

We are looking for a Senior Guidewire Test Engineer to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Guidewire testing and a strong Property and Casualty Insurance background. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure seamless system functionality, identify defects, and validate integrations to deliver high-quality insurance solutions.

In this role, you will
  • Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for Guidewire applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of Guidewire Policy Center.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Track and report defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Client ALM, Azure DevOps).
  • Generate and publish automation metrics, daily/weekly automation status reports.
  • Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required skills: what you need to be considered
  • Overall 6-10 years of experience in P&C insurance with at least 3 years in Guidewire Policy Center.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Guidewire full suite implementation.
  • Expert knowledge of Policy Center lifecycle and workflows.
  • Good experience in insurance domain such as Life and health insurance.
  • Experience on Test Case design, Test Execution, Test Planning, Defect Logging, and tracking
  • Should have hands-on automation knowledge with Java, Selenium, BDD Cucumber.
  • Knowledge/experience on automation framework design and maintenance,
  • Familiarity with Guidewire data model workflows and integrations (web services APIs).
  • Good experience in Agile and well versed in standard QA processes.
Preferred skills: what will help you stand out
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium/Java, Cucumber, TestNG).
  • In-depth understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain concepts and the specific functionalities of Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
  • Preferred to have Guidewire certification completed.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps) to integrate automation into the development lifecycle.
