Are you ready for your next challenge? We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst! This individual will work closely with the Financial Analysts to provide budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, business analysis, and business decision support to the organization. Additionally, this role will play a vital part in addressing the reporting needs of the organization, reviewing analysis results, developing insights, and facilitating strategic business decisions.
What will you be doing?
- Analyzing monthly, quarterly, and year-over-year results and trends; producing and updating rolling forecasts, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Conducting and evaluating what-if analyses on various business scenarios; performing cost-benefit or breakeven analyses on projects.
- Promoting consistent implementation of corporate financial policies, processes, guidelines, and tools to maintain integrity, safeguard assets, and mitigate risk.
- Providing financial planning, business analysis, and decision support to the organization.
- Reviewing project estimates, contracts, service agreements, and purchase commitments for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Developing and maintaining analytics solutions to generate reports and data for systemic improvements, including metrics reporting, dashboards, savings, and compliance analysis.
- Facilitating operational and strategic analyses with recommendations to support program and project delivery.
- Providing oversight on program expenditures and revenues in line with the company's financial management framework.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
What we are looking for:
- Post-secondary education in commerce, finance, economics, accounting, or business administration.
- CPA designation is preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in a financial decision support role.
- Knowledge of PowerBI is essential.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, business analysis, and planning methodologies.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking ability.
- Ability to interpret financial data, investigate variances, and assess future impacts.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and preferably in Oracle financial reporting system.
- Security clearance eligibility: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), requiring 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, US, or UK.
Working Conditions:
- Compressed work week: four days, ten hours a day, starting at 6 am.
