The Corporation of the City of North Vancouver is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Infrastructure Security Analyst for a regular full‑time exempt role. The position reports to the Manager, IT Security and supports the City’s daily security operations, identifying and mitigating cyber threats across all IT systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze suspicious activity using a variety of security tools, monitor alerts, respond to incidents and remediate corrective action.
  • Provide security awareness training and work with other technical teams to assess and remediate vulnerabilities in IT systems, including desktops, servers, operating systems, networks, cloud services and security platforms.
  • Participate in the acquisition and evaluation of security systems, develop recommended changes to security practices and procedures, and provide guidance to other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Post‑secondary diploma in a relevant Information Technology discipline.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in cyber security and security systems administration.
  • Preferred credentials: CISSP, CCSP, Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker and working knowledge of NIST CSF and CIS Controls.
  • Current Police Information Check (PIC) required during the recruitment process.

Salary: $92,712.00 – $109,056.00 annually (2024 rates). Salary will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity.
