Position: Full‑time Security Guard

Site: Trenton Memorial Hospital – 242 King St, Trenton

Hours: Continental Rotation – 0800‑2000 / 2000‑0800

Payrate: $19.13/hour

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Application Period: November 28, 2025 – December 3, 2025 (internal); December 10, 2025 (external)

About the Site

Trenton Memorial Hospital (TMH) provides primary and secondary care, an inpatient unit, and a range of clinical and diagnostic services, including the Comprehensive Breast Assessment Centre.

Job Description

• Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols
• Patient watch duties
• Control access to the facility
• Respond to incidents and emergencies
• Document incidents and prepare reports
• Investigate routine incidents
• Enforce parking and smoking regulations (by‑laws)
• Ensure awareness and enforcement of security policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB‑approved vendor)
• Proof of at least double COVID‑19 vaccination
• Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, TB, and others (submission of Sheet or PDF)
• Six months of security experience required; one year preferred
• Healthcare security experience preferred
• Valid G‑class Ontario driver’s licence
• Reliable vehicle in good repair for commute to Kingston for pre‑deployment training
• Ability to train at all QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft)
• Must be clean‑shaven for N95 mask fit test
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) required; training available through Paladin (cost reimbursed with 6‑month commitment)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
