Overview

HPEDSB is now accepting applications for: Secondary Occasional Teachers

Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,400 students each day at 39 in-person schools (32 elementary, two K-12; four 7-12, one secondary). The district supports student achievement with about 1,750 teaching and support staff, alongside caring volunteers and community partners. The region covers 7,220 square kilometers bordered by Maynooth to the north, Deseronto to the east, Prince Edward County to the south and Quinte West to the west. The area connects the outdoors with small cities, villages and rural landscapes, featuring shoreline, parks, and cultural attractions.

We acknowledge and honour the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples and their ongoing stewardship of the land and water.

Role Requirements
  • In Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Divisional qualifications in Intermediate/Senior.
  • Qualifying assets: French as a Second Language, First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies, Special Education, Hospitality and Tourism Technology, Construction Technology, and Manufacturing Technology.

Applicants who receive an offer of employment will be required to provide a vulnerable sector criminal background check that is dated within six (6) months of their start date.
