  • Determine geographical position using navigational instruments, maps, and charts
  • Maintain vessel's navigational instruments and equipment
  • Enforce regulations in Canadian waters
  • Record vessel's progress, weather, and sea conditions in ship's log

Credentials

  • Transport Canada Certificate of Competency
  • Transport Canada Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers
  • Nautical Institute Certificate
  • Marine Officer Certificate
  • Marine Advanced First Aid
  • Marine Emergency Duty (MED) Training Program
