Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Senior Financial Planning Associate is to provide financial planning that is closely integrated with wealth management, supporting the Wealth Advisor team in creating and developing comprehensive wealth strategies for clients, including the preparation and delivery of personal financial plans. The role also involves client relationship management and identifying growth opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will:
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Support the financial planning needs of the Advisor’s clients through deep discovery, plan preparation, presentation, and implementation of recommendations.
- Support advisors by inputting client data, building financial plans addressing client goals, providing alternative scenarios, and identifying referral opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal specialists (Taxation, Insurance, Estate & Trust, Philanthropy) to ensure organized, integrated planning.
- Participate in monthly Total Wealth Planning calls to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Provide updates on financial planning trends and strategic recommendations to advisors.
Skills & Qualifications:
We’d love to work with you if you have:
- CFP or IQFP certification required.
- Licensed as a Registered Representative with CIRO is an asset.
- College or University degree.
- Deep understanding of comprehensive financial planning, including investments, estate, retirement, and tax issues.
- Experience in Total Wealth Planning from discovery to presentation.
- Client-facing experience providing financial advice.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and attention to detail skills.
