The Decision Scientist will report directly to the Manager, Advanced Analytics. The Decision Scientist plays a critical role in extracting value from SHA’s data assets. Decision Scientists are accountable to support Advanced Analytics & Modeling projects by providing expertise in predictions, forecasts, and statistical inference from observational data to help inform decision making. They actively produce models that help describe and predict patterns and clinical/business outcomes. They work in collaboration with team members to build enriched datasets with data-derived features that can be used in models. This may entail operationalizing predictive models within the enterprise data environment. Decision Scientists work with a corporate, cross‑organizational perspective to their work, and proactively identify opportunities for developing enterprise‑level data science products to enhance SHA’s ability to generate insights.

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience designing, developing and implementing modelling solutions

Education

  • PhD in Biostatistics
  • PhD or equivalent in a related field
  • PhD in Computer Science

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
