Job Description

Reporting to the Security Officer, the Security Guard is part of the Health & Safety department and collaborates with other departments of the mine.

Responsibilities

• Control traffic on the road between Baker Lake and Meadowbank Mine Site.
• Report location of the vehicles on the road.
• Assure security on AWPR to Meadowbank.
• Dispatch communications on the road.
• Produce reports inherent to the function.
• Any other duties required by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Work experience as Security Guard is an asset;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Must be reliable and show up as scheduled;
• Health & safety oriented;
• Ability working with computers (Microsoft Work & Excel);
• Willingness to learn;
• Experience working in a multicultural environment;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral & written).
