A mining company in Nunavut is looking for a Wildlife Monitor to ensure safety in the field. This role involves providing wildlife assessments, reporting wildlife presence, and maintaining a clean work area. Candidates must possess a Firearms Acquisition Certificate and have experience as a Bear Monitor. The position is reserved for Inuit Beneficiaries, offering a schedule of 14 days of work followed by 14 days off, with accommodations and meals provided on-site.

The objective of Sanajiksanut is to increase Inuit workforce in all of AEM’s Nunavut operations by contributing to the development of skills and competencies of the Inuit population in the Kivalliq region. The Sanajiksanut Process is composed of 4 steps: Employment Information Session, Online Application, Pre-employment Training, and Employment. Reporting to different departments such as Exploration, Permitting or Construction (depending of the needs), you will support the team by ensuring safety when work is performing on the field. You will be responsible for :

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site from Kivalliq Communities, Mirabel & Val d'Or.
