Job summary

A community service organization in Grey County is seeking a Sales Representative to handle new sales leads in plumbing and HVAC, as well as maintain customer relationships. The Sales Representative is responsible for the new sales leads in regards to plumbing and HVAC as well as maintaining existing relationships. This includes meeting with customers to determine their needs, explaining product lines, and following up when appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites (homes and/or businesses) to determine customer needs
  • Recommend product / services based on customer needs and position’s strong product knowledge
  • Prepare / revise quotes based on needs analysis and customer feedback
  • Measure and improve conversion rates, margins, and targets when creating quotes
  • Negotiate with customers and create value for price when required
  • Conduct comprehensive site survey in preparation of installation
  • Plan installations based on site surveys; observe all code, equipment, and manufacturer requirements
  • Co-ordinate with the Install Crew / required office staff to schedule and install project for customer
  • Ensure all contracts signed by Company and customer prior to work being started
  • Follow-up with customer during installation to ensure full satisfaction; follow-up with Install Crew to ensure smooth installation
  • Generate and track new sales leads
  • Regularly attend sales meetings / product training to keep up-to-date on new product lines and regulations
  • Attend (and moderate when necessary) regular technical team and management meetings
  • Prepare reports for and/or meet with manager to review weekly activity and potential leads
  • Organize, lead, and attend monthly mall booths, home shows, and other promotional events
  • Review and complete rebates and customer registration forms with a high degree of accuracy
  • Review sales targets on a monthly basis
  • Provide guidance, instruction, and direction to Dispatchers/Installation crews
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Compensation

To be discussed depending on experience. Base wage + Commission, Company Truck, and Company Phone.
