Our client is sourcing a S/4 HANA Finance Workstream Lead for a 24-month contract.
About the Opportunity
- Lead the finance-focused workstream throughout the full ERP/S/4HANA program lifecycle—from early planning through design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Serve as the main contact connecting finance stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal project teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and decisions.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to map, refine, and redesign finance and accounting processes in line with best practices and organizational needs.
- Take hands-on responsibility for finance data readiness, including data cleansing, mapping, migration reviews, validation checks, and reconciliation activities.
- Develop test scenarios, coordinate finance involvement in testing cycles, oversee issue resolution, and ensure testing outcomes meet business expectations.
- Prepare training materials, deliver user training, and support change management efforts to promote user readiness and adoption.
- Work closely with other functional areas to ensure end-to-end process integration and alignment across the broader solution design.
- Manage workstream deliverables, monitor timelines, identify risks and issues, and provide clear, timely updates to project leadership.
- Ensure redesigned processes and outputs adhere to internal controls, compliance standards, and policy requirements.
- Support cutover planning and execution, and provide active assistance to stabilize finance operations after go-live.
About You
- Professional accounting certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) required.
- Proven experience leading finance workstreams within ERP or S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance and accounting processes.
- Experience working directly with system integrators and cross-functional project teams.
- Hands-on involvement in data migration activities, including validation and reconciliation.
- Experience developing and delivering training for finance or business users.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related area.
- Project management exposure or experience considered an asset.
- Familiarity with structured ERP implementation approaches (e.g., SAP Activate or similar).
- Knowledge of financial reporting or analytics capabilities within modern ERP systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly engaged project environment.
