Job summary

A municipal government in Peel Region is seeking a Maintenance Standards Road Technician to ensure the safety of City roads through conducting regular inspections and reporting hazardous conditions. Ideal candidates will have a background in Civil Engineering Technology along with strong customer service and organizational skills. This permanent position offers an hourly rate between $69,080 and $92,107, with flexibility in working shifts to support a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years direct experience in a municipal operations, maintenance or construction services.
• Must possess a valid Ontario Class ‘G’ driver’s license with a clean record.
• Understanding of road maintenance procedures and materials used.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walking/driving reviews of City roads to check for defects.
• Assist in maintenance of the City’s road classification system.
• Perform weather monitoring duties during winter maintenance.
