Restaurant Manager – Toronto, ON
Location: Toronto, ON M6G 1L7. Work setting: Urban area. Budgetary responsibility: 0 - $100,000. Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time. Starts as soon as possible. Vacancies: 1.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
- Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits.
- Evaluate daily operations.
- Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget.
- Monitor revenues to determine labour cost.
- Monitor staff performance.
- Plan and organize daily operations; recruit staff; set staff work schedules; supervise and train staff.
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms; conduct performance reviews.
- Cost products and services; organize and maintain inventory; ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Negotiate with suppliers for food and other supplies; negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation; lead/instruct individuals; address customers’ complaints or concerns; provide customer service.
- Manage events; plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
- Supervise a team of 5-10 people; use a point of sale system.
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
- On-site work; no remote option.
- Commitment to health and safety regulations.
- Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system.

- Fast-paced environment; tight deadlines; repetitive tasks; physically demanding.
- Combination of sitting, standing and walking; standing for extended periods.
