About the role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Powerline Techniciansare responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission systems across the mine site. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive4*4schedule consisting of daysonly.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to orrelocatenear Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Install andmaintainelectrical distribution and transmission systems
  • Perform utility operator duties such as working with overhead and underground facilities
  • Operate equipment such as line truck, backhoes, and related line crew equipment
Requirements:
  • Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Powerline Technician or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, Class 3 an asset
  • The successful applicant willbe requiredto work in and around equipment, at heights, and perform physically demanding work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team isrequired
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills. Past supervisory experience is an asset
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing requirements
  • Experience in power line construction is an asset
