For over 35 years, Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton has been dedicated to offering high-quality programs for young children and their families. We operate full-day early learning and childcare centres for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with before and after school extended-day programs for kindergarten and school-aged children at over 27 locations across the Greater Hamilton Area.

Location: Greensville; 625 Harvest Road, Dundas ON L9H 5K8

Total Weekly Hours: 19 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 6:00pm

Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants):

Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children or in a childcare setting
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Certifications
  • Active registration and good standing with the College of ECE
  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR)
Skills & Knowledge
  • Familiarity with How Does Learning Happen? (an asset)
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
