Raise is currently hiring a Quality Assurance (Supply Chain Management) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.

Description

The Quality Specialist (SCM), in this role will be critical in ensuring that our clients supply chain adheres to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for the integrity of our vendor network, performing rigorous audits, and driving continuous improvement within our quality management systems. This role requires a blend of technical auditing expertise and the ability to manage complex relationships with global suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Audit Program: Lead and support the execution of the annual vendor audit program.
  • Conduct comprehensive vendor surveillance audits and manage findings through to resolution to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Vendor Qualification: Drive the qualification and re-qualification process for suppliers and service providers, ensuring they meet all procedural, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Internal Quality Support: Facilitate internal audit processes to ensure ’s internal Supply Chain functions remain compliant with corporate standards.
  • Data Integrity: Proactively engage with suppliers to capture and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) master data within corporate systems.
  • Management System Development: Support the design, implementation, and refinement of quality management system activities to streamline SCM operations.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into supply chain incidents. Utilize root cause analysis tools to identify systemic issues and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, specifically focused on industrial supply chains or heavy regulated industries (Nuclear, Mining, or Oil & Gas preferred).
  • A proven track record of conducting complex quality system audits and managing vendor performance
  • Advanced understanding of quality frameworks, including ISO 9001, Lean, and Six Sigma
  • High proficiency in investigation techniques such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams, TapRooT, Cause Mapping, and the 5 Whys.
  • Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint for document control and collaboration.
  • Previous experience with SAP (specifically Quality Management or Materials Management modules) is highly preferred.
  • Education and certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor credentials or a recognized equivalent.
