Brainhunter is currently seeking a Project Manager to work for our valued Financial Service Client. The position requires the successful candidate to be on-site 3 days a week in either Toronto, Winnipeg, or London.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a technology delivery environment.
- Experience working with insurance policy administration systems, such as Ingenium, and strong knowledge of insurance products or wealth management.
- Experience with delivery of technology projects and strategy/governance initiatives.
- Advanced knowledge in managing multiple large and complex projects and teams.
- Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills, applying creative thinking to problem-solving while aligning with organizational vision, purpose, and values.
- Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle for multiple initiatives or workstreams, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder expectations.

- Strong analytical skills to make sound decisions or recommendations in challenging situations.

- The Senior Project Manager applies advanced knowledge in managing large, complex projects and teams within the Individual Customer Technology Division. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, developing project artifacts (charter, management plan, schedule, resourcing), and reporting. Familiarity with Clarity, SharePoint, MS Office, JIRA, and Confluence is important.

Accountabilities:
- Leading large, high-risk, and complex projects, working with business and technology leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure proper planning and delivery.
- Applying business and technical acumen to align deliverables with the business case.
- Providing coaching and mentorship on project management methodologies.
- Collaborating with sponsors and delivery leaders to define project scope, objectives, approach, success measures, stakeholder engagement, and communication plans.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, including cost estimates, budgets, and resource requirements, and managing performance against them.
- Managing project budgets, costs, and forecasts, with analysis of capitalization, amortization, and expenses.
- Engaging with governance stakeholders to ensure compliance with risk and organizational standards.
- Conducting risk planning and analysis, including risk identification and response strategies.
- Monitoring project progress, communicating updates to stakeholders, and ensuring project alignment with organizational goals.
