Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale IT and business transformation initiatives for a leading energy utility provider. The role requires strong leadership, proven delivery expertise, and the ability to manage vendor relationships, budgets, and risk in complex program environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage budgets, schedules, and project scope.
- Ensure accountability for delivery progress and resource allocation.
- Escalate decisions, risks, and issues proactively to governance bodies.
- Maintain project documentation, including risk registers, issue logs, and change controls.
- Implement corrective actions to resolve issues and maintain timelines.
- Oversee vendor contracts, deliverables, and relationships.
- Conduct project close-out activities, including lessons learned and team releases.
- Contribute to organizational improvements in project management practices.
Required Experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex IT and business projects.
- Experience with natural gas transmission, distribution, or utility projects.
- Experience in large enterprise system implementations (e.g., CIS, asset management, inventory systems).
- Vendor management and contract oversight.
- Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, RUP, Waterfall, and Six Sigma.
- Business transformation experience requiring significant process redesign.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
- North American project experience.
