Building on strong success in Nova Scotia, this project is entering a new phase of growth — expanding into New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador and introducing enhanced employer programming and job matching activities.

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of project activities across three provinces. Working closely with a small internal team and regional partners, this role ensures timelines are met, activities are accessible, partnerships are supported, and outcomes are tracked. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level project leader who enjoys managing complex initiatives, supporting a small team, and contributing to meaningful systems change.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Team Coordination
  • Lead project workplans, timelines, and deliverables across multiple activity streams
  • Provide day-to-day coordination and guidance to a small project team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment
  • Facilitate regular team check‑ins, track action items, and provide updates to leadership
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, employer cohorts, Communities of Practice, job matching events, and partner meetings
  • Support rollout of core program components, including four Skill Builder modules and three employer cohorts
  • Monitor progress against targets, proactively flagging risks, delays, or capacity needs
  • Maintain clear systems for documentation, follow‑up, and continuous improvement
Employer Engagement & Job Matching
  • Support development and launch of an inclusive employer talent pool
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in‑person job matching events across Atlantic Canada
  • Maintain clear communication with employers, partners, service providers, and internal staff
Partnership & Regional Support
  • Serve as a key point of contact for partners across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Coordinate with regional leads to support outreach, alignment, and local delivery
  • Support Francophone engagement, including French‑language workshops and accessible translated materials
Accessibility & Inclusion
  • Ensure all project activities meet accessibility standards (e.g., captioning, ASL, alternate formats)
  • Apply inclusive practices across planning, delivery, communications, and team coordination
  • Center the perspectives and experiences of persons with disabilities throughout the work
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
  • Track participation, outputs, and project outcomes
  • Support survey collection and evaluation activities
  • Contribute to internal reporting and final project documentation
Qualifications & Experience

We recognize strong candidates come from many paths. You do not need to meet every qualification to apply.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience managing projects with multiple partners, timelines, and deliverables
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accessibly in a variety of formats
  • Experience mentoring, coordinating, or supporting a small team
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment
  • Commitment to accessibility, equity, and inclusion
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across Atlantic Canada
  • Ability to participate in periodic in‑person meetings in Halifax (with flexibility and accommodations available)
  • Bilingual French/English capacity is a must
Assets (not required):
  • Experience in disability inclusion, workforce development, or social impact sectors
  • Knowledge of accessible employment practices
  • Experience coordinating training programs, employer networks, or job matching initiatives
