We at Actalent Services are a fast‑growing engineering consulting group which expanded to Canada in 2014. A significant part of that growth has come out of our Western Canadian Operations predominately focused on Infrastructure and Utilities. To support this growth, we have opened a position for a Project Manager to join our team on a full‑time basis. The selected individual will be a part of our Utilities Division based out of New Westminster, BC.

The Project Manager will have responsibility over a couple areas of our distribution projects and must be comfortable with both civil and electrical scopes under their responsibility. The Project Manager will work closely with the technical leads, PORs and engineering management. Key activities include managing project teams, developing and implementing procedures to improve efficiency, liaising with project stakeholders and meeting project key performance indicators (safety, quality, schedule, cost and continuous improvement).

The selected individual will join our rapidly growing team delivering electrical infrastructure projects. We are looking for people that take ownership, are career motivated, well organized and detail oriented with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

This role required Drug and Alcohol screening as a pre‑employment requirement.

Our operation is under a Hybrid work model (3 days in office | 2 days from home).

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a Canadian accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of combined experience in engineering design, project administration, project engineering and/or project management.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, and/or Project Manager.
  • Proficient using MS Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
Considered an asset
  • Project Management experience on BC Hydro Distribution Projects is considered an asset.
  • PMP Certification is considered an asset.
  • A valid Class 5 BC driver’s license (or another province equivalent).
Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering projects from initiation through completion, focusing on Civil infrastructure and UG Distribution systems with Electrical integration.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of civil, electrical, and other engineering disciplines, ensuring collaboration and alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; oversee design deliverables and ensure adherence to BC Hydro standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, regulatory authorities, and subcontracted engineering partners; maintain strong relationships to support project success.
  • Identify and mitigate technical and project risks; enforce quality standards and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project budgets, manage change requests, and support invoicing processes.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and performance metrics to leadership and clients.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
