About the Role

Join a team that is driving impact across Canada’s food bank network as a Program Officer, Network Services. In this role, you will take the lead on national initiatives that address child hunger, expand access to essential supports, and strengthen the services available to communities. You will manage programs such as After the Bell, the Tax Clinic initiative, and the Customer Experience Hotline, while also supporting the rollout of client intake systems and contributing to the success of our biannual national conference. This is a hands-on role where relationship building, program delivery, and problem-solving come together to make tangible change. Ideal candidates bring strong project management skills, a collaborative approach, and a deep commitment to tackling hunger and poverty in Canada.

What You Will Be Doing

• Administer the delivery of the After the Bell child hunger relief program, including:
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of the After the Bell program, including project management with internal teams and program delivery across the food bank network.
  • Support volunteer engagement and effective communication with provincial associations and local food banks to ensure successful community impact.
• Administer and support the implementation of the Tax Clinic program across the network of food banks, including:
  • Work with the development team and KPMG to ensure program funding, success, and growth
  • Provide training and support to food bank tax clinics
  • Support the Manager of National Programs with identifying new potential locations
• Manage the Customer Experience Hotline program, responding to inquiries and collaborating with provinces and food banks to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
• Maintain program systems and reporting, including call scripts, contact directories, complaints tracking, and monthly performance reports.
• Support the implementation and ongoing use of client intake solutions by onboarding new organizations, integrating data into the Network CRM, and providing continued support to food banks.

What You Will Need

• Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent and minimum 4 years’ experience in non-profit programs. A combination of education/experience will be considered.
• Program design and delivery experience, and extensive experience, skills, and training in successful project management
• Experience managing or supporting complex and large scale/multi-stakeholder programs with ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
• Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to navigate sensitive situations diplomatically and constructively
• Experience working in the nonprofit sector, national organizations within a networked structure or an association is an asset
• Professional and self-confident, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Skilled at building positive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Working Conditions

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work
• The position is remote and may be based anywhere in Canada
• Occasional travel within Canada may be required
