Job description

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to organize and coordinate programs within the IT team. The Program Manager will advise teams and project managers to ensure consolidated visibility of plans, risks, decisions, resources, and budgets for several projects related to a specific program. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Planning and coordination: Develop and maintain consolidated plans that align the projects with the objectives set by the program. This may include setting objectives, planning resources, and tracking costs and timelines.

  • Governance: Develop and implement governance frameworks for the program. Regularly communicate with stakeholders to keep them updated on the program's progress, risks, decisions, and budget. This can include the preparation of status reports and presentation of updates to management teams.

  • Supervision of multiple projects: Ensure that each project progresses according to the planned schedule and budget, while managing interdependencies between the projects.

  • Stakeholder management: Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, such as project managers, operational teams, clients, and sponsors, to ensure all needs and expectations are met.

  • Risk and decision management: Identify potential risks for the entire program and work to mitigate these risks. Resolve and/or escalate problems that could impede project completion. Document and communicate risks and decisions related to the program.

  • Continuous improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance the program's efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Budget management: Control and monitor the program budget and ensure that financial resources are well utilized and align with forecasts.


YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Computing, Computer Engineering or any other related discipline.

  • Five to seven years of experience managing large-scale program.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • A recognized certification in project management (PMP, ACP, PSM, etc.) would be an asset.

  • Experience working in a matrix environment.

  • Ability to communicate in French and English with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or unilingual English speakers on a daily basis
