Job description

At SMS Equipment, the Product Support Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling products, parts, and services offered by SMS Equipment. The role aims to increase the visibility and market share of SMS as a supplier of parts and services with existing and future customers. This position is located in Fredericton or Moncton.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Present customers with prices, terms and conditions, warranties, delivery dates, and credit and financing programs.
2. Produce and submit daily and/or weekly activity reports to the supervisor.
3. Follow up with customers and provide after-sale service.
4. Continuously improve knowledge of all products offered by SMS Equipment.
5. Maintain current knowledge of new products and market developments in the territory.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience.

Other requirements include:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, construction, and forestry.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Technical knowledge of ground engaging tools (GET) and related wear parts.
• Mechanical inclination and willingness to learn.
• Experience with portable computers and advanced skills in web/data base use and research.
• Owns a vehicle and holds a valid driver’s license.
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
