Overview

Adecco is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist for a temporary position in Waterloo, ON. This role is offering an hourly wage of $23 to $25, based on experience.

Location: Waterloo, ON. Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Job type: Temporary.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify prospective suppliers
  • Liaise with internal project teams and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Evaluate products and suppliers according to key business and quality criteria
  • Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or concerns
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased goods and address shortcomings
  • Analyze industry and demand trends to support senior management with sourcing strategies
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and practices
Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing strategies and procurement processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP / business systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
