Epitopea is a biotech company developing next-generation cancer immunotherapies. Using our Cryptigen platform, we combine immunopeptidomics and transcriptomics to identify shared tumor-specific antigens. By integrating multi-omic datasets with advanced computational methods, we aim to create accessible, off-the-shelf cancer vaccines for patients.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Biology to join Epitopea’s ASCEND Fellowship program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to translational research at the interface of immunology, cancer biology, and computational science, while receiving tailored career development support from adMare BioInnovations.
The Fellow will work closely with Epitopea’s multidisciplinary team of wet-lab scientists and computational biologists. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing biotech company at a formative stage and to make a direct impact on early vaccine development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply computational approaches for integrating multi-omic datasets (transcriptomics (bulk or single-cell), proteomics, …) to prioritize therapeutic targets.
- Collaborate with immunologists and molecular biologists to design meaningful experiments and computational analyses, and interpret results in a translational context.
- Build scalable, reproducible bioinformatics workflows to support ongoing and future R&D initiatives.
- Contribute to the dissemination of results through presentations, reports, and potentially publications, depending on project confidentiality.
- Stay current with advances in computational biology, immuno-oncology, and data science, and proactively bring innovative ideas to the team.
Qualifications
- PhD (completed or near completion) in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Transcriptomics (bulk or single-cell RNA-seq)
- Proteomics
- Cancer genomics / tumor evolution
- Multi-omics data integration
- Machine Learning
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data science and bioinformatics.
- Familiarity with reproducible research practices (e.g., Git, workflow management systems).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and an enthusiasm for contributing to translational science in an industry setting.
