Job summary

A postal service organization in Whitehorse, Yukon, seeks a self-starter for a temporary on-call position. This role offers flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends, providing a unique opportunity to gain insights into mail operations. Responsibilities include sorting mail, loading postal trucks, and basic administrative tasks. While no prior experience is necessary, familiarity with production environments is an asset.   • Receive and accept mail items.
  • Sort, scan and sequence batch mail items.
  • Transfer and load postal truck.
  • Transfer and dispatch parcels and packets.
  • Complete reports and documentation.
  • Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg.
  • Perform other postal clerk duties as required.

  • Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs)
  • Perform other postal clerk duties as required
Qualifications
  • No Experience necessary
  • Experience working in a production environment is an asset
